# Workspaces A workspace is your organisation. It owns the subscription, the member list, the billing details and the workspace style guide, and it contains the projects. ## How many you need Almost certainly one. A workspace is a **hard boundary**: members, projects, content and billing do not cross it, and each has its own subscription. Two workspaces means two bills and no shared anything. The case for a second one is genuinely running two organisations — an agency keeping two clients completely apart for contractual reasons, or two companies that happen to share a person. “Different teams” and “different websites” are not reasons: those are [projects](/docs/core-concepts). ## Creating one From the workspace switcher. You become its owner, and it starts its own trial and its own subscription. ## Switching The switcher in the app header. One login, several workspaces — you do not sign out and back in. Your [notification feed](/docs/notifications) is cross-workspace, so being mentioned somewhere you are not currently looking still reaches you. ## What is scoped to a workspace - Members and their roles - Projects, and everything in them - The subscription, seats and payment method - The workspace style guide - Integrations — GitHub, Slack, support inboxes ## Renaming Workspace settings → **General**. The name is what appears in the switcher and on invitations, so it should be recognisable to someone being invited. ## Ownership Exactly one owner, who alone can transfer ownership and delete the workspace. Admins can do nearly everything else. Transfer ownership before you leave a company, not after. Recovering a workspace whose owner is gone is a support conversation. ## Deleting Workspace settings, and it is deliberate: it cancels the subscription and removes the content. **It does not touch your WordPress site.** Everything published is on your site, which is yours; Workover holds no control over it. Deleting a workspace removes the drafting side, not the published side. ## Related - [Core concepts](/docs/core-concepts) - [Members and seats](/docs/members-and-seats) - [Changing or cancelling your plan](/docs/changing-or-cancelling-your-plan)
