Accounts & Billing
Plans and pricing
Workover has three plans: Workover Essentials, Monitor, and Enterprise. Essentials is self-serve and billed per seat. Monitor and Enterprise are arranged directly rather than bought online.
Workover Essentials
- Price: $20 per seat per month, billed annually, or $24 per seat per month, billed monthly.
- Free trial: 7 days.
- Billing unit: per seat, per workspace.
Includes:
- The content workspace (wiki, product docs, and other documents)
- Comments and mentions
- Version history with rollback
- AI-assisted drafting, rewriting, and inline suggestions you accept or reject
- Status tracking and reviewer assignment
- Google Docs import
- Two-way sync with WordPress or Webflow
There is no lower, feature-gated tier: every seat on Essentials gets the full feature set above.
Monitor
- Price: not published; quoted on request.
- Billing unit: per page under watch, not per seat.
- How to get a price: contact sales. Monitor is not available as a self-serve checkout.
Includes:
- Continuous page checks, re-checked on a cadence set by each page’s importance
- Change tracking, with each check diffed against the last and scored by severity
- One alert per incident, regardless of how many pages it affects
- Search Console and analytics data shown alongside each page’s technical state
- Comparison of rendered (JavaScript-executed) pages against raw source
- Log-file analysis attributing crawl behaviour to verified crawlers
Enterprise
- Price: not published; quoted on request.
- How to get a price: contact sales.
Everything in Workover Essentials, plus:
- SAML-based single sign-on and audit logs
- Custom review, publishing, and alert automations
- A dedicated success manager
- A Service Level Agreement covering uptime and response times
What counts as a billed seat
Essentials is billed on the number of seats a workspace occupies. A seat is counted for:
- Every workspace member with the owner, admin, or member role
- Anyone added as a collaborator to any project in the workspace, even if they hold no workspace-level role
Not counted:
- Guests, including anyone accessing a document by share link
- Pending invitations that have not yet been accepted
A person who holds both a workspace role and project access is counted once. Seat quantity can never fall below 1, even on a single-person workspace.
Billing interval
- Two intervals are available: monthly and annual.
- The interval is set when the subscription starts and applies to the whole subscription term.
- Annual billing is the default when no interval is specified.
Seat changes during a subscription
Seat count is kept in sync with actual workspace and project membership automatically, and is re-checked at least once every hour in case a change was missed.
- Adding a seat: charged immediately as a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period, unless the workspace is still in its trial.
- Removing a seat: credited toward the next invoice rather than refunded immediately.
Free trial
- Length: 7 days.
- A card must be on file before the trial starts.
- Seat charges are not billed immediately while a workspace is trialing, even if seats are added.
- If no valid payment method is on file when the trial period ends, the subscription is cancelled automatically.
Cancelling and resuming
- Cancelling schedules the subscription to end at the close of the current billing period; the workspace keeps access until then.
- A scheduled cancellation can be reversed at any point before the period ends.
- Cancelling a workspace with no active subscription, or resuming one with no active subscription, returns an error.
Payment, invoices, and tax
- Payment is by card only.
- Tax is calculated automatically from the workspace’s billing address.
- A VAT or tax ID can be added on the billing page and appears on invoices. Supported countries: EU member states, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, Norway, and Switzerland. Other countries cannot register a tax ID.
- Billing history shows the most recent invoices first, with up to 50 returned per request (12 by default).
Who can manage billing
- Owner and admin: can start, cancel, or resume the subscription, update the card on file, and edit billing details and tax ID.
- Member: can view subscription status, payment details, billing details, and invoices, but cannot change them.
- Guest: has no access to billing information and does not occupy a paid seat.
